Every month, I do a live Q%26A on social media and I’ve noticed that many photographers ask the same questions over and over again. I’ll answer the 10 most frequently asked questions about photography here. This is a complex question with an equally complicated answer. Put simply, commercial photographers charge a daily rate, which they set taking into account business and personal costs, profit, and taxes.
A daily rate for a professional photographer can range from 500 to 1000 GBP (although top professionals may charge up to five times as much). To find out what you need to charge for your work, consider your place in the market and find out what your competition is asking for. Remember that you also need to consider all work before shooting and post-production. I use an Eizo monitor for most of my work, although I also have an Asus monitor.
My Eizo monitor, one of the leading monitor brands, allows me to see my work in the highest possible quality and I can be sure that I’m offering my customers the best quality of work. This special monitor calibrates itself every 200 hours. Other ranges of monitors, such as NEC, Asus, or Philips, don’t all offer self-calibration, but they may be a better fit for your budget.
